Long time no bloggage

Hello darkness my old friend, I've come to talk with you again.

Seems that the old blogging bug didn't last long, but I thought I would come back to day and spout some random nonsense for you to ignore.

It is just over a week and a half till I jet off to Singapore. It really can't come quick enough. Already planned is a day at Universal Studios and a musical performance by none other than Belle and Sebastian, how fricking cool will that be! Its certainly a far cry from seeing them playing at the Barras or Dunoon town hall!

Apart from that nothing much chances, I just seem to be stumbling towards this holiday. Be warned I might not come back, I might just hand cuff myself to a bar somewhere in Singapore!

So what do I say now? Where do we go from here?

Answers in a comments box below. Best answer will be blogged about.

Oh and just look at the first line for a song to listen to. :)

To infinity and beyond

Why hello there!

Did you miss me? Did you notice I had disappeared? Did it affect you at all?

To be fair it probably didn't.

I haven't blogged in a we while, I'm not sure why, perhaps the novelty has worn off or more than likely i just couldn't be bothered.

I'm not that good at making up stuff, it hurts my brain and then I have to go and lie down.

I go on holiday soon, its a big one - Singapore at the start of August. I can't wait it is going to be awesome. It will be out second visit and I can't wait to go back. I think its the only place I have been on holiday where I have thought - I could live here. Everything about the place is awesome - the people, the transport and the way of life - its something I could do.

We all have dreams, some more realistic than others - ill always have that one but I do have other dreams that are more realistic and when we get home from Singapore it might be time to start working towards them.

Things that are on my mind:

  1. Concert tickets are too fucking expensive!
  2. Alan Wake is possibly the best game I have played on the x box!
  3. No one wants to pedal go kart round knockhill with my team :(
  4. why am i being left with all the fundraising?
  5. How the hell did the hamster manage to chew its way out of it's cage?
  6. does it really matter if a minister is gay?
  7. Would you like to sponsor me? www.justgiving.com/teamsg2010

Question/comments/thoughts/insults would be appreciated.

Bit of a blur

Evening peeps.

I have been neglecting this I know. Not really sure why. Suppose the honeymoon peroid of blogging wore off......and to be honest I am even less sure why I have choosen to post again. As usual I really don't know what I am going to talk about.

I was on you tube and the notion took me to look up some blur videos, first up was The Universal http://bit.ly/cJAGKd Its one of my favourite blur tracks, and I love the video and its homage to Kubrick's Clockwork Orange, so vidy well.

Yes it really really could happen.

Oh and here is a live version http://bit.ly/bhGYrV

I then flick to blur's ultimate tearjerker - Tender http://bit.ly/dh5Kc Damon's break up song. Blur peaked with this, and I can still remember where I was the first time I heard it, sitting outside a chippy having been to Makro with my dad. I was 16, i fell in love with music.

Oh my baby, oh my baby, oh why, oh my.

I only ever got to see blur live once, again however I will never forget it. Support came from Super Furry Animals and Shed Seven and it was at the SECC. The whole night blew me away, I was right at the front standing just below Alex James and it was the week after Oasis had walked off stage after only a few songs due a bottle being flung at them. At one point a shoe made it on to the stage, Damon comment "who throws a shoe?" "you better be careful, people fuck off for less"

How we like to sing along though the words are wrong.

There never was a Blur Vs Oasis, as simply there is no comparison. Oasis are not in Blur's universe, let alone league. Don't get my wrong, I liked oasis but musically there is just no point in comparing the two.

When the days the seem to fall for you, well just let them fall

Well that was unexpected, but hey now you know a little more about where my music head is at.

Thank you and good night.

To finish please play Track number 2 - Song 2 by blur. WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO

Happy Wednesday Everyone ?

So folks were at the top of the roller coaster about to scream for joy as the weekend approaches, and a bank holiday one at that.

I'm at a slight advantage as I manage to hop on today just as we begin to get ready the end!

Did I ever mention that I was crap at analargys?

I enjoyed my time off , I got to completly chill, go to football and watch some wwe - PERFECT!

Before I get to the point of this blog (yes there is a point) I should point out for those who don't know me as well as others that I am a Christian, I do believe there is someone up there looking doon here.

Over the weekend I intouch with some new people in the twitterverse, and it really has been a God send, and I mean that literally in one particular case

Something that really upsets me the most is feeling helpless. The thought of not being able to help someone when they are feeling down just drives me to tears on occasion and I was faced with this again at the weekend. It hurt because it was someone I love and no matter what I done it didn't help, I felt that I just made things ten times worse.

However we got through this and managed to smile, things may not be quite right but I know now that at the time there was very little I could do.

A day later I was flicking about pages on twitter and someones bio caught my eye. We started tweeting and exchanged some emails. They had went through a smiliar situation and the fact that this person was able to see things from both sides really helped. I was able to open and honest with them without fear of being judged or laughed at. I got advice and I shared that.

It has helped me and I am thankful for this.

Its comforting to know that there are complete strangers out there who are willing to listen and give advice when they don't have to and especially when they have there own problems to deal with.

Anyways I better go, its my turn at Scrabble.

Thank you.

I did consider putting a tear jerker for todays song, but instead I went for a "fuck it lets rock" tune - crank it up to 11!
