Evening peeps.
I have been neglecting this I know. Not really sure why. Suppose the honeymoon peroid of blogging wore off......and to be honest I am even less sure why I have choosen to post again. As usual I really don't know what I am going to talk about.
I was on you tube and the notion took me to look up some blur videos, first up was The Universal
http://bit.ly/cJAGKd Its one of my favourite blur tracks, and I love the video and its homage to Kubrick's Clockwork Orange, so vidy well.
Yes it really really could happen.Oh and here is a live version
http://bit.ly/bhGYrVI then flick to blur's ultimate tearjerker - Tender
http://bit.ly/dh5Kc Damon's break up song. Blur peaked with this, and I can still remember where I was the first time I heard it, sitting outside a chippy having been to Makro with my dad. I was 16, i fell in love with music.
Oh my baby, oh my baby, oh why, oh my.I only ever got to see blur live once, again however I will never forget it. Support came from Super Furry Animals and Shed Seven and it was at the SECC. The whole night blew me away, I was right at the front standing just below Alex James and it was the week after Oasis had walked off stage after only a few songs due a bottle being flung at them. At one point a shoe made it on to the stage, Damon comment "who throws a shoe?" "you better be careful, people fuck off for less"
How we like to sing along though the words are wrong. There never was a Blur Vs Oasis, as simply there is no comparison. Oasis are not in Blur's universe, let alone league. Don't get my wrong, I liked oasis but musically there is just no point in comparing the two.
When the days the seem to fall for you, well just let them fallWell that was unexpected, but hey now you know a little more about where my music head is at.
Thank you and good night.
To finish please play Track number 2 - Song 2 by blur. WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO
